Stressed na stressed ka na ba sa trabaho mo? Relationship? Utang? Family problems? Stressed ka na ba sa buhay mo? In other words, na-stress drilon ka na ba?
Saan nga ba nagmumula ang stress?
Nararamdaman mo ang stress kapag nararamdaman mo ang demand ng tao sayo. Kung minsan naiisip mong it’s beyond your capability.
Kung malalaman natin kung paano tayo magco-cope sa stress, it will surely benefit us. Magkakaiba tayo ng coping abilities. May iba’t-ibang paraan para i-manage ang stress, the key here is to choose what works best for you. But let me share with you my tips on coping and handling stress:
Learn to say no
Huwag mong akuin ang lahat ng trabaho, opportunity, at responsibility sa mundo. Alamin mo kung hanggang saan lang talaga ang best na kaya mong ibigay. Know your priorities and learn to say no sa mga bagay na less priority.
Take a break
Ang ilaw nga napupundi, ang cellphone nalo-lowbat, ang sasakyan nago-overheat, tayo pa kayang tao? Napapagod din tayo at napupuno. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Kalma ka lang. Do something you enjoy. Treat yourself din. Huwag mong ipagdamot sa sarili mo ang break, recreation at rest na kailangan mo. Hindi lang ikaw ang magbe-benefit dito kundi pati ang mga tao sa paligid mo. Mas mainam nang mag-break ka paminsan-minsan kaysa bigla ka nalang sasabog na parang bulkan.
Stay away from stressful people
Layuan ninyo ang mga taong nakaka-stress. Hindi sila nakakabuti, imbis nakakadagdag ng problema. Always remember, stressful people make other people feel stressed. We need to surround ourselves with people who are positive. Yun nakakadagdag ng gana at excitement sa buhay. Hindi yung kabaligtaran.
Talk to someone
Everybody needs somebody. Huwag mong sarilinin ang mga dinaramdam at mga sentimiyento mo sa buhay. Talk to someone kung ayaw mong mabaliw. Yung simpleng kwentuhan with a friend will be very helpful. Talk to someone who can help you find solutions to your stress and put your problems into perspective. It can be your spouse, a counsellor, a pastor or a colleague. Huwag kang mahihiya humingi ng tulong, lahat tayo kailangan yan.
Manage your time
Iwasan ang too much na pagtambay, too much na paglalaro, too much social media, at kung anu-ano pang distractions. Alam naman natin na lahat ng sobra ay makakasama sa atin. Minsan kasi kaya tayo na-sstress ay dahil sa nauubos na ang oras natin sa mga bagay na tulad nito. At dahil dito, wala tayong na-aaccomplish, natatambakan tayo ng trabaho, at umaabot tayo sa deadline. Kaya we should learn to manage and use our time wisely.
Connect to God
The Bible clearly tells us that we can find rest in Him. He invites those who are weary and heavily burdened to come to Him so He can give us rest. He’s the ultimate source of everything. Kailangan mo ng energy? Peace? Joy? Wisdom? Meron Siya lahat nyan. We should acknowledge that apart from Him we can do nothing. Kaya this is the best thing that we can do not just to cope up with stress, but to enjoy the life He has given us.
